Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN in July 2021, as the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin, mother of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast has spent her entire childhood in the field. She worked for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump Administrations. Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump, the 2020 Presidential campaign and the efforts of two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. Kristin traveled frequently, and both with the president and vice-president. She was even on a secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter prior to being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin as an experienced filmmaker, established Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentary style films, for clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their three-year-old daughter.
